PassionAir makes history with all-female flight crew

by Business Zone

Domestic airline operator, PassionAir, run its first-ever all-female flight crew from Accra to Tamale.

The flight, OP 178, was entirely ‘womanned’ on Saturday February 20, 2021 from the flight deck to the cabin.

Captain Eva Gichuru, pilot-in-command of the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, said, “The feat indicates that, whatever men can do, women can do better when given equal opportunities.”

A statement to the businesszoneonline said “the same crew later operated the last flight to Kumasi on the same day”.

PassionAir hopes this historic moment would empower and inspire all women around the world to further have the self-belief that anything is possible and doable.

The all-female crew

The carrier, which operates daily flights from Accra to Kumasi and Tamale will from Saturday February 27, commence daily flights to Takoradi starting from GH¢199.

The airline strictly adheres to the Covid-19 safety protocol for the safety of both customers and crew.
